The Project
Located in the proposed Hunter Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone, the project combines wind, pumped hydro and battery storage. The project has a proposed generation capacity of 1,400 MW and 4,000MW over 8 hours of storage capacity.
The Hunter region is significant to the NSW energy system and is well placed to continue this tradition into the future. Positioned within the NSW Governments Hunter-Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone, this location enjoys a trifecta of optimization factors, including the natural resources themselves, as well as easy access to workforce, and both existing and planned grid infrastructures.
Local landholders have been approached by a multitude of developers, and have now grouped together to explore all options that will maximize the energy generation and storage capacity of this highly favorable location. This project is being lead by a local family who have been cornerstone landholders in the region for more 130 years.
